Frequently asked questions

Are online doctor appointments covered by Medicare?

Effective 30 March 2020, temporary Medicare Items have been released for Telehealth consultations with General Practitioners. When you register with a valid Medicare Card number, you can choose a bulk bill doctor consultation or claim a rebate from Medicare for an appointment with a Medicare Eligible Doctor. You may also be eligible to Redeem a Benefit using your insurance policy or employer issued voucher code.

Are your doctors and mental health experts qualified?

Yes, absolutely. All of our health practitioners are Australian registered, fully qualified and insured and experienced in providing telehealth consults. Our health practitioners comply with all relevant professional standards including the RACGP Standards for telehealth and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Guidelines for technology-based patient consultations.

Can I renew a prescription online?

Yes, our simple, affordable service allows you to request a repeat prescription in minutes, using our online assessment tool. A registered Australian doctor will review your assessment and call you for a quick telephone consultation. In most cases we can have your prescription to the pharmacy of your choice within 1 hour. The questionnaire is specific to the medication and the condition it supports.
